Welcome!

I'm Tracy Smith Miyake, a transplanted New Yorker living in southern Brazil with nearly twenty years of experience translating from Portuguese to US English and editing scientific articles for publication. I am certified by the American Translators Association for translation from Portuguese into English.

Over the years I have worked closely with Brazilian researchers and businesses in the areas of forestry, biodiversity, plant breeding and yields, environmental regulations, animal vaccines, industrial tech in pulp and paper, biosafety, high and maximum biological containment facilities and techniques, and biomedical research involving synchrotron light and high-tech infrastructures. This work has expanded to encompass engineering, mining and remediation technology, environmental reporting and key indicators for business, and grant writing and reporting. I also work directly with specialized journals to develop policies and standards in English.

Let me know how I can use my expertise to help.
